Welcome to the ECAM Trail Running Group!
You've decided to take up trail running, but this sport seems difficult and technical? Do you think it's only for young top athletes? But what is trail running?
Jean Auclaire ECAM 1980 AML " I'm passionate about mountain trail running because of the beauty of the scenery, and the endurance it allows you to reach unimaginable limits. Contrary to popular belief, this sport is not just for young elite athletes..."

The trail beyond physical effort*
More than just running in nature, there's also a trail state of mind. Opening up your senses, listening to your body and sensations, feeling good and appreciating the place where you're running. So many different feelings that will enable you to practice your sport in harmony with the natural environment.
By concentrating on each step, you think less and listen to your emotions. This sensitivity gives you pleasure in the effort and pleasure in being outdoors.
But even with a race number, it doesn't matter if you're first or last. In trail running, you run at your own pace and listen to how you feel, before looking at your GPS watch. Don't go too fast, and make the most of the refreshment points!
Crossing the finish line, seeing your adventure through to the end and sharing strong emotions are what trail running is all about.
