is the only ECAM contact recognized by the IESF.
ECAM Alumni is the reference association for all graduates of ECAM Lyon and ECAM Strasbourg-Europe.
ECAM ALUMNI ... WHAT IS YOUR ROLE WITH IESF?
◊ ECAM Alumni is the only ECAM contact recognized and referenced by the IESF
◊ The association is responsible for periodically updating the national IESF file, which enables anyone (recruiter, employer, headhunter...) to check whether Mr. X or Ms. Y has indeed obtained an ECAM LaSalle Foundation diploma.Anyone can access this national database via the repertoire.iesf.fr portal.
WHAT IS IESF?
Ingénieurs et Scientifiques de France (IESF) is the sole representative of the social body of engineers and scientists recognized by their diplomas or functions in France.
This independent, apolitical federation represents :
- more than1 million engineers, i.e. 4% of the working population
- over 200,000 researchers
- the 175 largest Engineering and Scientific Alumni Associations
IESF is also :
- a body recognized as being of public utility since 1860 and officially registered with the French Ministry of the Interior
- a network of 1,500 active volunteers and 25 regional IESFs throughout France
- a member of European and international federations and associations
- a major player in scientific, technological and economic debates
Its presidents have included such prestigious figures as Gustave Eiffel in 1889
Since June 22, 2021, IESF has been chaired by Marc Rumeau. He succeeds Marc Ventre, who has held the post since 2017.
HIS MISSIONS?
◊ Bringing together France's engineers and scientists and their associations
◊ Support member associations in developing products and services for their members
◊ Enhance and structure the engineering and scientific profession by promoting it.
◊ Represent the profession to public authorities, companies and the general public
◊ Promote the French scientific education system, particularly that of engineers, in France and abroad.
