Saint Alban power plant

October 21, 2022

The Saint-Alban nuclear power plant is located in Isère on the banks of the Rhône, 50 km downstream of Lyon, in the communes of Saint-Alban-du-Rhône and Saint-Maurice-l'Exil.
In 2014, it generated 17.7 billion kWh, or around 30% of the Rhône-Alpes region's electricity needs. In June 2015, major refurbishment work was launched to extend the operation of the reactors until 2026. The cost of this work is estimated at one billion euros.


The visit is subject to administrative validation by the participants.

  • The postal address (up to date) of each registrant. A letter will be sent to each visitor informing them of this survey.
