A plant that contributes to the region's economic dynamism
In 1962, the first tonnes of cement left the plant. Since then, the Val d'Azergues plant has played an active role in regional development, local life and environmental protection, while maintaining a constant focus on industrial performance.
ISO 9001 and 14001 certified, the plant produces innovative cements adapted to market needs, thanks to the professional skills of its employees.
Today, the plant employs 90 people, the majority of whom live in the Beaujolais region. It generates almost 1,000 jobs in the region, including around a hundred indirect jobs (suppliers, service providers, subcontractors). Every year, the plant welcomes around ten interns and work-study students.
The Val d'Azergues cement plant also sponsors young people in social reintegration through a partnership with the local mission of Villefranche sur Saône, and since 2012 the plant has partnered with local associations LEA and Stop Chut for housing rehabilitation.

To enable you to meet and "brainstorm" between ECAMs in the construction trades, the GP^B2Mis offering all ECAMs working in the wood - concrete - metal construction trades and affiliated professions the opportunity to follow tradition and get together for a lunch break in a great, easily accessible setting just a stone's throw from Lyon!
